Excellent hiking trail. Park just before the covered bridge where there is a sign that says visitor parking. Walk the trail along Route 17 and follow the trail as it curves up into the woods after the defunct tennis court. It's a slight upward climb two miles up along a small brook with little cascades. From there you can connect with other trails, or turn back and come back the way you came. Great spot for dogs. Nice wide hiking trail as it was a logging road. The trail used to go up to the beaver ponds but that trail is now closed because it is a sensitive natural area. There is an alternative trail that goes around this section. It's not a pretty area so you're not missing anything. If you like this, then check out the nearby Dana Forest Trail.
