My wife and I stayed for a few nights in mid-October 2017 at the Tucker Hill Inn. This is a very nice bed-and-breakfast: our room (called the Aspen) was large, clean and comfortable; and the owners, Patti and Kevin as well as the other staff were welcoming and offered a lot of useful advice about how to make the best of the area. Tea (and coffee) is available 24-hours a day and the breakfasts were very tasty and filling: the French-toast and omelettes were delicious. In terms of location, the inn is away from the road, so it is nice and quiet, but Waitsfield is only a short drive away; Waterbury/Stowe are nearby and Vermont Route 100 (also close to the Inn) is an amazing and scenic drive. We very much enjoyed our visit and we hope that the Tucker Hill Inn remains open for many years to come.
My husband and I have stayed at a few inns/B&Bs in the area, and this was by far the best. The room was small (which we expected) but very clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant (we had dinner and breakfast) was spectacular. We will definitely be back.
We'll be back! This was, to date, our best experience with accommodations in the Mad River Valley. The inn is lovely. Our room was small but we chose it for price not size. Very comfortable, though. The whole room was impeccably clean! The restaurant was incredible. I had the best salad I've ever tasted, my wife was even more impressed with her creme brulee. Truly noteworthy in every way. Every person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and professional. An absolute recommendation!
Was a little sceptical staying at a bnb for the first time but after arriving they were very nice and friendly, the rooms were very well put together with a very nice bathroom and comfortable beds, the breakfast was outstanding and they are opening a restaurant and bar very soon. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a little vacation and to those who want to be close to some ski mountains. Will come here again.
Very nice staff and the inn is very clean and in a gorgeous setting. I would inquire with the inn if you have any mobility or access issues as there are many flights of stairs to get to certain rooms. They are normally booked up so it's sometimes impossible to switch rooms. Also, if you're a light sleeper like myself, bring ear plugs to avoid hearing the other guests come and go. What a gorgeous place and a perfect spot to host wedding guests for the weekend.
